In very appropriate arctic conditions Snow Bay won the fourth race of his career at Southwell on the 10th January 2010 under a well judged ride from Philip Makin.

 

The snow and ice were soon forgotten by his loyal band of owners as he yet again led the field home in what was once more comparatively the fastest run race of the day.

 

This win meant that from just thirteen runs he has won four races and finished 2nd and 3rd in two others. An exciting horse to own he has proven a real favourite with his owners as he also has a superb temperament for a colt and loves a cuddle!

 

Thanks go to his trainer Bryan Smart who, together with his assistant Kevin, did a superb job getting him to the races fit enough to do the job. The stables have been plagued by snow now for an unprecedented four weeks and it has been a real battle to keep the cantering ring and gallops open for long enough periods to keep the horses fit. In fact Snow Bay's success at Southwell was Bryan's fourth win from five runners in three days.......incredible.
