Today saw Boundless Spirit winning the Brian Yeardley Stakes at Beverley in tremendous fashion live on Channel 4. This is a recognised Royal Ascot trial and Bryan Smart is now considering running him at the Royal meeting where his most likely options are the Norfolk Stakes (Group 2) or the Windsor Castle (Listed).

 

He showed he had improved again from his win at Hamilton and the amazing fact is that in the last twenty years runnings of Beverley's prestigious two year old races (the Brian Yeardley and Hilary Needler), i.e. forty races, there is only one horse that has beaten Boundless Spirit's winning time despite many of the runnings having taken place on similar going. He recorded a faster time than such famous horses as Mind Games, Attraction and Firebreak!
